Refugee Housing provides a seamless platform to connect compassionate hosts with a spare bedroom to refugees seeking to start a new life in Canada. Many of these refugees have fled conflicts and war and are looking for a new start. They want to be able to get a job, support themselves and their families, and give back to the community. Discrimination and lack of accessible and affordable housing create a great barrier and lead to extended stays for refugees in temporary accommodation. Additionally, hosts may be reluctant to rent to refugees. This delays refugees’ integration into society and puts extensive pressure on available resources for refugees.

Hosts with spare bedrooms can make a difference in the refugees lives and be part of the solution. Hosts willing to rent to refugees can help build stronger communities while earning extra rent income on the side. Refugee Housing will offer resources to support Hosts part of our program. We provide Hosts with onboarding support, interview guide, move-in checklist, in addition to the living agreement contract.
