Host check these simple steps:

• Register at: app.refugeehousing.ca 

• Select “I am a Host”

• Complete host profile including background check. There is a fee associated with completing the background check.

• Background check is required for all Refugee Housing hosts to ensure the safety and security of our hosts and renters.

• List your room. Set the house rules, room availability and rent price. Upload at least 5 photos of the room and property.

• Hosts will get matched with vetted refugee renters by our authorized resettlement partners.

• Check your dashboard and notifications for new rental applications.

• Review renters' applications available under Applications on the host’s profile dashboard. Hosts can also message and schedule an interview with renters before signing a contract. 

• If a match is found and you are ready to sign a contract, accept the renter’s application by generating a contract online from the dashboard. 

• Click Generate Contract to generate an electronic contract. Be sure to review the contract prior to signing and sending it to the renter. 

• Sign the contract, and send it.

• The renter will receive the contract and sign it.

• Both, host and renter, will receive an electronic copy of the final signed contract.

• Renter will pay the host directly each month on the agreed start date of the contract.
